THE RULES
GENERALone. Be respectful and polite to your fellow users. You are never permitted to harass a user, ever. This includes race, religion, sexual preference, etc. Any user who is found to be harassing someone will be punished.
two. As a user of HEAVENBENT, it is your responsibility to report any harassments or abuse of the site to a staff member.
three. Do not ask for staff positions. This is rude and will definitely reduce your chance of actually getting a staff position. Wait until there's a staff audition. Some lucky members may be randomly asked over PM.
four. Staff members (besides the administrators) are not permitted to ask members if they wish to be a part of the staff team.
five. Spamming is not permitted anywhere on the site. Spam will be deleted without notice.
six. Please don't double-post. It's unnecessary and makes the site look untidy. There is an edit button at the top of your post, so use it. There are some exceptions to this rule.
seven. No posting inappropriate content. This includes, but is not limited to, pornography, posts with sexual content, "yiffing", and posts with a lot of swearing or vulgar language.
eight. Swearing is allowed OOC. However, please use it in a tasteful manner. If this becomes a problem, swearing will be disallowed.
nine. Do not post any personal information here on this site. This includes, but is not limited to, pictures of yourself, your phone number, your email address, and your home address.
ten. Debate is allowed, but full-blown online fighting is not permitted. Please keep such things to private message, or, preferably, don't do it at all.
ACCOUNTS & ACTIVITYone. One account per person, no more. If we find that you have more than one account on HEAVENBENT, those accounts will be deleted.
two. Don't join just to leave. When you join this forum, you are making a commitment to be active and be a part of our community.
three. When you join HEAVENBENT, you are expected to come on at least once a week. You're expected to post in character at least once every week as well.
four. Don't delete your account without warning. Be sure to tell us in the Absences & Returns forum.
five. If you're going to be gone for over seven days, post in the Absences & Returns forum. Try to tell us how long you're going to be gone.
six. Post in the Absences & Returns forum when you have returned from being absent.
seven. Remember that when you have posted in the A&R forum, you are excepted from all penalties and punishments regarding activity, including activity checks.
ACTIVITY CHECKSone. Every month or two, the staff members will host an activity check. If you wish to stay a part of the forum, then you must post.
two. All people who did not post in the activity check will be deleted.
three. In case of deletion, any ninjas in the lists will be removed. Their profiles will be moved to our archives.
CHARACTERSone. You may have as many custom characters as you wish. It is simply a matter of keeping up with them.
two. You are allowed a maximum of two canon characters.
three. Never overpower your character. Always keep in mind both the shinobi position and rank of your character.
four. You may not post ICly with your character until your character has been accepted by a staff member.
HIGH POSITIONSone. Users that have characters with high positions are expected to be more active than regular users.
two. High positions are as follows: canons, lords and ladies, and youjinbou.
three. Even if your character is of high position, you are not permitted to abuse these powers in any way. Especially canons. If you abuse the power of a canon, that canon will be taken away.
THE SHOUTBOXone. Be polite and respectful to other members. Harassment is not tolerated on the shoutbox.
two. Inappropriate content is not allowed on the shoutbox.
three. Please don't spam.
four. You will be banned from the shoutbox if you are caught impersonating.
five. Advertising is not allowed on the shoutbox.
six. Swearing on the shoutbox is allowed, to an extent. Please don't swear excessively or post vulgar comments on the shoutbox.
WARNINGS / BANSone. You will be warned and/or banned if you break the rules.
two. A small offense gets a warning over private message.
three. A medium offense gets a warning over private message and a ban for one to four days.
four. A large offense gets no warning, and either a ban for a week or a permanent ban.
five. Certain exceptions may apply.
IC ETIQUETTEone. Swearing is allowed IC, but please do not swear excessively.
two. Do not powerplay, ever. Powerplaying is extremely rude and disrespectful.
three. Do not godmode, ever. This is extremely rude, not to mention it sucks the fun out of the roleplay.
four. Post in order. For example, Bob > Mary > Sue. Don't post a billion times when someone isn't on. For example, Bob > Mary > Sue > Bob > Mary > Bob > Mary > Sue > Bob > Sue. It is disrespectful and doesn't allow anyone to actually join in the roleplay.
five. Liquid time is allowed. You may be in up to three places at once.
six. Please post at least two hundred words per post. If you can't make that, try one hundred fifty. But no less. If you can't post, then don't post.
seven. Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation is a must.
FACE CLAIMone. Here in HEAVENBENT we use face claims. Face claims must be of an anime or manga character, no exceptions.
two. In the character form, you will see a little code with "anime : character's anme" written in it. "anime" is for the anime or manga the face claim belongs to, and "character's name" is the face claim's name.
three. All characters must have a face claim from an anime or manga. No original art.
four. You cannot use a face claim that is already claimed. We don't want look-a-likes running around.
SPECIAL PERMISSIONSpecial permission from one of the admins is required to make either a custom Hyuuga, Uchiha, or S-rank kunoichi/shinobi from any of the shinobi positions.
